Married September 26, 2015
Three years after Taryn Adams and Justin Dando started dating, Taryn came home to a candlelit apartment strewn with rose petals and Justin dressed to the nines on one knee. Classically romantic, the couple went into wedding planning with a more casual vision in mind. “We didn’t want the glitz and glam of the weddings you see in the movies,” says Taryn. They decided to focus on the beauty of the outdoors with a backyard ceremony and no backup plan. “We were extremely lucky to have the weather turn out as perfect as it did,” says Taryn. After months of Pinterest-inspired DIY projects—all of the ceremony decor was made by the bridal party, family and friends—and headaches, “it’s safe to say I am still DIY’d out,” she says. It was “a lot of fun, but exhausting and repetitive.” Thankfully, the big day turned out beautiful with a thousand perfect moments to remember: “But seeing Justin’s reaction as I was coming down the aisle definitely tops them all,” says Taryn. They moved to the Springfield Lake rec centre for the reception, and couldn’t have been happier with how it all turned out. “The whole day was just filled with so much love and excitement!”
