Michelle Doucette captured couple Annette Mahon and Axel Winneke on their wedding day. Mahon and Winneke’s love has had quite a voyage, sparking when Mahon returned from 10 months in Zambia while Winneke was in Halifax on a one-year exchange from his hometown Grevenbroich, Germany. The two now live in Bremen, in northern Germany.

We fell head over heels in love with the classical elegance of this wedding, shot by Liam Hennessey of Applehead Photography Studio. See more of his work at appleheadstudio.com. Florist Ashley MacNeill from Props Floral Design spent five hours on the bouquet, individually removing each petal from 22 roses and wiring them together as one big rose. “It sounds so simple, but very tedious!” laughs MacNeill. This was the first one of its kind she created.
